1 Binding Agreement

By accessing PDF AI at gopdfai.com (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, fully understood, and voluntarily agreed to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2 Acceptable Usage Policy

By using PDF AI, you agree that you will NOT use this Service to:

• Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, or malicious code disguised as PDF files.
• Attempt to bypass, hack, or probe site security systems.
• Conduct DDoS attacks, bot scraping, or automated abuse of our infrastructure.
• Upload content that infringes on copyright, patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or violates any third party's rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source code or algorithms.

3 Fair Usage Policy

To ensure high quality of service and maintain server stability for all users, we implement a Fair Usage Policy:

• AI Requests: Free AI-powered features (Summarizer & Chat) are limited to 10 requests per day per IP address.
• AI Processing: AI-powered features may process document text temporarily to generate summaries, answers, or analyses. Such processing is performed solely to provide the requested service and does not grant PDF AI any ownership rights over uploaded content.
• Limit Resets: These limits automatically reset every 24 hours.
• Policy Changes: We reserve the right to modify these usage limits at any time without prior notice based on server load and resource availability.

4 Intellectual Property

The Service design, source code, algorithms, branding, and all associated content are the exclusive intellectual property of PDF AI and are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from PDF AI's interface, design, or source code without explicit written permission.

5 Strict Data Erasure Protocol

Our servers operate on a strict 60-Minute Auto-Destruction cycle. After exactly 60 minutes from upload, all files are permanently and irrecoverably wiped from our systems.

• No Backup Retention: Files are not copied to any backup or archive system.
• No Recovery Possible: Once deleted, files cannot be recovered by anyone including our own staff.
• No Ownership Claimed: PDF AI claims no rights over your document contents.

6 Limitation of Liability

• No Uptime Guarantee: We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service.
• No Accuracy Guarantee: Processing results may vary. Always verify output files before use.
• Backup Responsibility: Always maintain your own backups of important documents.

PDF AI may display advertisements served by third-party advertising partners including Google AdSense.

• Some advertisements displayed on PDF AI may be personalized based on user consent and applicable privacy laws. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure advertisements. Users may manage advertising preferences through our cookie consent settings.
• Advertisers may use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
• PDF AI is not responsible for the products, services, claims, or content presented within third-party advertisements.

9 Third-Party Services

PDF AI may rely on third-party providers including cloud hosting providers, AI service providers, analytics platforms, content delivery networks (CDNs), and advertising partners. PDF AI shall not be responsible for any interruption, data loss, service failure, or damages caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

10 Copyright Complaints

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed:

• Timely Download: Downloading your processed files within the 60-minute window before they are permanently deleted.
• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold PDF AI harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms.

13 Service Changes & Termination

PDF AI reserves the right to:

• Modify Services: Add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or tool at any time without prior notice.
• Update Terms: Revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be effective upon posting with a revised "Last Updated" date.
• Terminate Access: Suspend or permanently ban any user who violates these Terms without notice or liability.
• Service Downtime: Perform maintenance or upgrades that may temporarily affect availability.

14 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically:

• Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments
• Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
• Indian Contract Act, 1872
• Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (where applicable)

Any legal dispute, claim, or action arising from or relating to this Service shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of Maharashtra, India. By using this Service, you consent to this jurisdiction.
